Many people think that they don't have enough money, time, or creativity to dress trendy or fashionable.  Some people also lack confidence or simply don't know what looks good on them.  I'm here to tell you, that with the right resources, anybody can dress in fashionable clothes with very little money, time, or effort.

The first thing you need to know, is what's actually in style, so you can replicate some of the fashions.  If you're not a designer or very artistic, then you need to use the resources that are out there to learn what the professionals know.  One of my favorite magazines is Lucky Magazine. Lucky magazine is fun, because it comes with yes/no/maybe stickers that you can use to bookmark the things that you like.  Lucky has a lot of great, new, and creative ideas that will make your friends, family, and co-workers think you're a fashion Diva!

Now that you've gotten Lucky, you have a few new tricks up your sleeve and you're ready to go shopping!  You start thinking, "I don't have the money to spend on clothes for myself". You may even feel a little guilty, if you have kids or it's not in your budget to shop.  Why not hit your local thrift store?  I have found some great items at my local thrift store.  I once found this Asian inspired, satin top by Forever 21, that's incredibly sexy at Goodwill for about $4.00.  My greatest find yet, is a pair of purple suede ankle boots at a local thrift store for $4.00

Another one of my favorite second-hand stores is Plato's Closet. You'll find brand name, gently used clothing between $4.00 and $12.00 on average.  You can carry around a Coach purse for $8.00 or a Baby Phat jacket with tags for $40.00.

If you think you don't have time, but would like to bump up your style, you should make time for yourself, because you deserve it!  If you're not sure if something will look good on you, just try it out.  Don't get discouraged if you don't come up with something posh on your first try.  It may take a couple of attempts before you come up with a great style.

Just remember that you're not too old, busy, broke, or fashion-challenged to look amazing!  Now get to studying and Happy Shopping!
